A human hauler (locally named as Nosiman) driver was killed in a road accident on the Bhurungamari-Bagvander road in Bhurungamari upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Tufan Islam Rusel, 25, son of Aziz Miah, a resident of Purba Bagvander village of the upazila.

The accident occurred in the area around 11 am when a Nosiman fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control of the vehicle, leaving driver Tufan injured, said M Munirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Bhurungamari Police Station.

Injured Tufan was sent to the Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared him dead.
