An application has been filed accusing former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 92 others in connection with an alleged attempt to murder Dhaka Bar Association member Nupur Akhter.
The case was filed at the Mohammadpur police station in the capital.
The victim herself submitted the application before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifur Rahman’s court on Sunday.
The court recorded the plaintiff’s statement and announced that an order would follow.
According to the case statement, during an Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on August 4, Nupur Akhter participated in a protest in the Mohammadpur area.
She was allegedly shot at with the intent to kill, resulting in gunshot wounds to her left arm and head, causing serious injuries.
The plaintiff claimed that when she sought medical treatment at the hospital, threats from alleged Awami League activists forced her to leave without receiving care.
Her condition later worsened, prompting an X-ray at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, where doctors recommended surgery.
On December 17, a surgical procedure was conducted to remove fragments of the bullet from her head.
