DU pro-BNP panel demands penalties against ‘history distortion’ in school books

The pro-BNP teachers group of Dhaka University (DU) has demanded the interim government bring to justice those officials engaged in attempts to “distort the country’s history” in state-funded school textbooks.

The University Teachers Association of Bangladesh (UTAB) placed similar demands urging for “speedy removal of the misleading Awami League script” from textbooks.
