Enayetpur Correspondent:

A marine Engineer was killed in a road accident at Kejir morh area under Enayetpur thana in Sirajganj district on Thursday morning.

The victim was identified as Shamim Hossain, 35, son of Abdul Hakim of Betrail Silimpur village in Tangail Sadar upazila. He was also an Engineer of Marine.

Police said, the accident took place at around 10:00am, as a speeding truck (Sirajganj-Da-110080) loaded with concreted blocks for Jamuna river bank protection work hit his motorbike from opposite direction, while he was going to his father-in-law’s house. In the accident, the biker Shamim died on the spot.

Rawshan Iyazdani, Officer in Charge of Enayetpur police station said, the truck was seized, but the driver managed to flee. A case was lodged with the respective police station in this connection.
