Digitalization of municipal services can improve citizens’ life: Saifullah Panna

Md. Saifullah Panna, Secretary of Chief Adviser’s Office said, “Digitalization of municipal services can enhance the quality of life for citizens and strengthen the local economy. Digital services can be ensured by providing training to municipal officials that will help to improve the quality of life for citizens.”

He came up with the remarks, while addressing as chief guest in a view exchange meeting held at Dhanghora High School ground in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district on Saturday noon.

The programme was organized with the assistance of UNDP marking to the digitalization of municipal services.

The event was also presided over by Muhammad Nazrul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Sirajganj, while Apple Mahmud, Upazila Primary Education Officer conducted it and Mr. Stephen Liller, Residential Representative of UNDP addressed there as special guest.

Dr. Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Secretary of Finance Division at the Ministry of Finance, Md. Shahriar Kader Siddiky, Secretary of the Economic Relations Division, Muhammad Ibrahim, Chairman (Secretary) of Land Appeal Board, Humayun Kabir, UNO of Raiganj and Mst. Khadiza Khatun, Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Raiganj among others spoke on the occasion.

The speakers also emphasized creating an interaction between the municipality and local residents and businessmen in a bid to boost the economic growth of the area.
