BNB getting stronger than earlier: Tuku

Ikbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Member of BNP’s Standing Committee and State Minister for Power said, “BNP is now getting stronger than the earlier as many people from different sectors and even parties are now joining in the country’s largest political party BNP due to its high dignity. As a result, the numbers of BNP families are increasing day by day.”

The former minister told this, while addressing a function arranged at the Muktir Shopan of Baza’ar Station in Sirajganj town on Sunday by the local BNP for providing financial supports to the martyrs and injured of the July-August uprising.

The former minister also warned that, those, who are giving shelter and supports to the corrupt Awami League politicians and their associates introducing them as relatives, will fall in problem shortly. The Awami Leaguers will take furious shape, if they are able to come back. So, it will not be fair to spare them without punishments.

Criticizing to the act of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Tuku also said, “He (Mujib) was not solo freedom fighter. Many people of the country have lost their lives and sacrificed their highest assets during the liberation war in 1971. But, Awami League leaders forgot their sacrifices and made their own lot by conducting nonstop corruption and anomalies. So, people should be aware about their activities for the sake of building future Bangladesh.”

The programme was presided over by Atikur Rahman Rumon, Convener of ‘Amra BNP Paribar’.

Member Secretary of ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ agriculturist Mithun, its adviser Eng. Mostafa-e-Zaman Selim, Abul Kashem, Eng. Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Convener of Jatiotabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha prominent singer Kanan Chapa, local BNP President Rumana Mahmud and its General Secretary Saidur Rahman Bachchu among others were also present in the programme.

During the programme, financial supports were provided to 12 martyrs families in Sirajganj.
