Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a 17-year-old youth over charges of child violation in Rajshahi.

RAB arrested the accused from Metropolitan court area in the city on Thursday morning.

A press release issued by RAB-5 confirmed the detention.

According to the release, the accused lured a child into his house and raped her after offering her 100 taka at Bagha upazila In Rajshahi district on 19 March.

Following the incident, victim’s father lodged a case against the arrested accused.

The arrested individual has handed over to Bagha Police Station, also reads the release.
