Brahmanbaria Correspondent:
A truck, carrying 200 cylinders, suddenly turned turtle on the Chittagong-Syllhet highway in Brahmanbaria’s Sadar upazila early on Wednesday.
After overturning, the truck caught fire and the cylinders blasted one after another.
None one was injured in the incident that occurred at about 4:30AM.
But, panic gripped the people due to the massive fire and smoke around the spot. Traffic on the highway was closed for a long time.
It was learnt that, the driver of the truck, left Dhaka for Brahmanbaria, lost control over the steering after one of the wheels of the vehicle fell into a roadside hole at Birasar area in Brahmanbaria city.
Witnesses said, hearing the sound of explosion, the people, who were in sleep, rushed out of their respective houses. To control the situation, police and Fire Service members reached the spot.
