Gopalganj Correspondent:
Awami League activists allegedly attacked the Gopalganj District Jail with brickbats and sticks on Wednesday afternoon, leaving many prison guards injured and windows vandalised.
However, no inmate managed to flee during the violence.
The hundreds of attackers fled the scene as law enforcers rushed to the spot, eyewitnesses said.
