The 30th death anniversary of Mirza Muraduzzaman, one of the most prominent figures in Sirajganj politics, the founding president of the district BNP, a close associate of the oppressed public leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani, and former National Parliament member of Sirajganj-2 constituency was observed in Sirajganj on Friday in a befitting manner.
Marking the day, various programmes were organized by district BNP and individual initiative. The programs include discussion meetings, Doa Mahfils, grave visiting, placing floral wreaths to the grave and distribution of cooked food among the orphans of the Madrasa, etc.
It is to be mentioned that, Mirza Muraduzzaman, who was a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a member of parliament for Sirajganj-2 constituency, died on July 18, 1995.
