Former Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has joined an English newspaper as its editor.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday he wrote, “I have joined as the editor of a new English newspaper, The Daily Waadaa. I seek your prayers and blessings.”

Following the formation of the new government, a gazette notification was issued dissolving the advisory council of the interim government.

Shafiqul served as the press secretary to the Chief Adviser during the tenure of the interim administration.
