Staff Correspondent:

Anisa Ahmed, an HSC examinee who was not allowed to enter the Government Bangla College centre for late appearance, will not get the opportunity to take the missed examination.

On June 26, Anisa, a student of Laboratory School and College, could not appear for the Bangla first paper examination, as she reached the centre an hour after the scheduled time.

At that time, her photo in tears outside the centre went viral on social media. Many claimed that she had failed to reach the centre on time as she went to the hospital with her mother, who suffered a stroke.

At that time, Education Adviser Professor CR Abrar said that arrangements would be made for her to sit the test. However, according to a source at the Dhaka Education Board, she will not be allowed to do so.

DBC Online reported quoting investigations by the Ministry of Education and the Dhaka Education Board, that information regarding her mother’s stroke is incorrect. Therefore, no decision has been taken to allow her to take the  examination.

Dhaka Education Board Chairman Prof Khandokar Ehsanul Kabir said that they have not taken any decision in this regard. However, she will pass if she gets 66 marks in Bangla second paper.
