CID police in Rajshahi on Tuesday night arrested two suspect members of dacoits from Ashulia and Konabari in connection with a case filed for committing dacoity at a cold storage in Mohonpur of Rajshahi.

AAM Humayun Kabir, Superintendent of Police, CID in Rajshahi confirmed the matter on Wednesday through a press release.

The arrested are Sajedul Sheikh, 35, son of late Mofjel Sheikh of Pipulbaria village in Sirajganj Sadar upazila and Ruble Hossain, 19, son of late Mozammel Haque of Binotia village in Shahzadpur upazila of Sirajganj district.

According to the case statement, a gang of dacoits numbering 30 to 35 entered into the Desh Cold Storage Private Limited in Mohonpur upazila of Rajshahi district on August 7 at night and looted cash Tk 3.33 lakh and other valuable equipments of the storage putting the labourers and security guards at gun point.

CID police with the help of modern technologies traced the location of the suspect dacoit members and arrested them by conducting drives.
