Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman granted  bail of Noble on a bond of Tk 5,000

A Dhaka court has granted bail to singer Mainul Ahsan Noble in a case filed over allegations of embezzling Tk 13 lac by luring a woman with a promise of marriage.

After a hearing on Sunday (March 2), Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman granted Noble’s bail on a bond of Tk 5,000. Defence lawyer Md Emran Hossain confirmed the matter.

Earlier on February 23 at around 12:30pm, police from Demra Police Station arrested Noble from the Bottola area under Siddhirganj Police Station in Narayanganj.

On the same day, the court of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) rejected his bail petition and sent him to jail.

According to the case statement, Noble developed a romantic relationship with a woman named Anannya Shabnam Roz and allegedly promised to marry her. Taking advantage of the relationship, he reportedly took a total of Tk 1,318,540 from her at different times between August 25, 2023, and June 2025.

The complainant later alleged that Noble embezzled the money without returning it.

The case was filed with the court on August 13, 2025, after which the judge ordered an investigation by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI). Following the investigation, PBI Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman submitted a report to the court on January 7, stating that the allegations made by the complainant were found to be substantiated.

Earlier, Noble was arrested on May 19, 2025, in another case filed with Demra Police Station over allegations of rape and assault. He was later granted bail on June 24, five days after marrying the complainant in jail.
