The revenue collection by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) witnessed a healthy 24.33 per cent growth in July, the first month of the current fiscal year (FY26).

The revenue board collected Tk 272.49 billion in July 2025, whereas the collection was Tk 219.16 billion in July 2024, according to data from the NBR.

The NBR’s overall revenue collection last month was, however, Tk 28.62 billion lower than the fiscal target of Tk 301.11 billion.

As per the NBR data, the collection from the Customs Wing in July 2025 was Tk 96.02 billion with 17.52 per cent growth, the collection from the VAT Wing was Tk 113.52 billion with 32.45 per cent growth, while the collection from the Income Tax Wing was Tk 62.95 billion with a growth of 21.65 per cent.
