Police on Saturday morning recovered the body of an unidentified woman from Kalikapur area near RR Spinning and Cotton Mills in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district.

Being informed by locals, a team of Hatikumrul Highway thana police reached to the spot and recovered the body. Police suspected that, the woman might have been killed by the strike of any speeding vehicle, while she was crossing the road any of the time at night.

The body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy, said Abdur Rauf, Officer in Charge of Hatikumrul Highway Thana.
