Actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Denty Penty are set to headline a new web series titled ‘Do You Wanna Partner’. On Monday, the makers announced the fun and light-hearted series with a poster that featured both actors in yellow-tinted sunglasses.

Karan Johar, who is backing the project under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment, shared the poster on Instagram. The caption of his post read, “Freshly poured, perfectly chilled, it’s going to be served on Prime Video.

It would also star Jaaved Jafferi, Nakuul Mehta, Neeraj Kabi, Shweta Tiwari, Sufi Motiwala and Rannvijay Singha in pivotal roles.

In an official statement, Johar described ‘Do You Wanna Partner’ as audacious, vibrant and unapologetically fun. He said the series is “a story that captures the grit, heart, and hustle of a new generation of entrepreneurs, especially women making their mark in unconventional industries.” Johar added that the series is “quirky, emotional, and rooted in the Indian spirit of jugaad.”

‘Do You Wanna Partner’ revolves around two spirited best friends, Anahita and Shikha (played by Penty and Bhatia, respectively), on a mission to launch their own alcohol start-up. Set against the chaos of urban life, the series will capture the duo’s journey to carve a niche in the male-dominated world of craft beer.

Directed by Collin D’Cunha and Archit Kumar, the upcoming web series is written by Nandini Gupta, Aarsh Vora and Mithun Gongopadhyay, and created by Gongopadhyay and Nishant Nayak.

Along with Johar, the series is also produced by Adar Poonawalla and Apoorva Mehta, executive produced by Somen Mishra and Archit Kumar.

Apoorva Mehta shared, “With ‘Do You Wanna Partner’, we set out to create a series that’s entertaining and relevant. The incredible ensemble led by Bhatia and Diana, alongside Jaaved Jaaferi, Nakuul Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi, has brought authenticity, warmth and spark to every scene, adding real depth to the narrative.”

The series will start streaming on Prime Video from September 12.
