Job Fair-2026’ was held in Sirajganj with the aim of creating employment and building skilled manpower for unemployed youths.
Various private employment agencies, development agencies, training institutions and even job seekers of the district participated in the fair, which was organized from Monday (June 22, 2026) morning at the Sirajganj District Shilpakala Academy auditorium in the town.
The day-long ‘Job Fair-2026’ was jointly organized by the National Development Program (NDP), Modern Development Program (MDO) and Manab Mukti Sangstha (MMS) with the support of PKSF and the Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE) project.
Aminul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Sirajganj inaugurated the job fair as chief guest.
After the formal inauguration of the fair, a discussion meeting was also held at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium under the chairmanship of Md. Alauddin Khan, Executive Director of the National Development Programme (NDP).
During the speech as chief guest, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Aminul Islam said, “Nowadays, the employment sector is changing rapidly. The youth should make themselves competent by acquiring modern skills. The efforts being made to increase employment through joint initiatives of the government and various development agencies will play an important role in reducing unemployment.”
Md Faruk Hossain, Programme Manager of PKSF RAISE Project, Md Mahbubul Islam, Assistant General Manager of BSCIC District Office, Habibullah Bahar, Executive Director of Manab Mukti Sangstha (MMS), Masud Ahmed Rokoni, Executive Director of Modern Development Program (MDO) among others spoke on the occasion.
