Terming the news spread on social media with the title “Bodies of seven Chhatra League leaders and activists are floating in Turag River” as baseless, Police Headquarters in a press release claimed that, no such as incident has reported in the country. A devil attempt is being made to spread baseless information on social media by someone or any group to confuse people. In fact, no such incident has been reported.”

Police Headquarters issued the press release on Saturday and requested everyone not to be misled by such false propaganda.

A group is trying to undermine the morale of law enforcement by spreading such confusion. The police keen to take legal action against those who are spreading such confusing information. The police are committed to taking appropriate legal action against anyone found to be involved in such propaganda, the press release revealed.
