In another major reshuffle within the Bangladesh Police, 62 officers holding the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police have been promoted and simultaneously transferred.

The development was confirmed in an official circular signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam.

According to the notification, issued on Sunday, the Ministry of Home Affairs approved the promotions of 62 officers. In the public interest, the newly promoted officials have been reassigned to the locations specified alongside their names until further notice.

The circular further instructed the transferred officers to hand over their current responsibilities by 21 September and join their new postings accordingly. Failing to do so will result in their being considered as stand-released with effect from 22 September.
