Prime Minister’s Political Adviser and BNP Standing Committee Member Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said no other fascist in the world can be compared to Sheikh Hasina.

Rizvi made the remark at an event titled “Spirit of July and the Future Bangladesh” at the Senate Hall of National University (NU) in Gazipur on Sunday.

NU organised the event marking the second anniversary of July Uprising in 2024.

During the event, Rizvi said, “Students led the July Uprising. From the primary schools to the university, students from all levels contributed to the uprising. Besides students, many workers, rickshaw-pullers, chefs and journalists were killed at that time.”

“People did not tolerate those who sacrificed the nation’s sovereignty to cling to power. BNP as a party and late Khaleda Zia as a leader kept up the protest. She unified the entire nation through courageous leadership,” Rizvi added.

NU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr ASM Amanullah presided over the meeting. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Md Lutfar Rahman delivered the welcome speech, while Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Treasurer Prof Dr Md Nazmul Hosain also spoke.
