Education authorities are considering pushing next year’s SSC and equivalent examinations back to March, reversing an earlier decision to start the tests on Jan 7.
The exams could instead be held after Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr following feedback from students and parents, according to Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman, chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
Akhtaruzzaman, who also chairs the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, said the proposal was under review.
“We are considering holding the SSC examinations in March, taking into account the views of students and parents,” he told on Wednesday.
“A final decision will be announced soon.”
