Nasum Ahmed called up for the ODI squad

Bangladesh are currently playing a three-match ODI series against the West Indies at home and has secured a victory in the first match. Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed has been included in the Bangladesh ODI squad for the ongoing series against the West Indies.

According to the media release from BCB, Nasum Ahmed gets a call from the ODI squad after his brilliant performance in T-20s. He was the player of the series against Afghanistan, picking up 5 wickets in three T-20 matches.

However, the 30-year-old Nasum, who has taken 16 wickets in 18 ODIs at an economy rate of 4.48, last appeared in an ODI in December 2024 against the Caribbean side.

Bangladesh lead the three-match series 1-0 following their win on Saturday at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. The second and third ODIs will be held on 21 and 23 October at the same venue.
