LALMONIRHAT CORRESPONDENT:

A teenager was killed after being crushed under the wheels of a train at Kaliganj upazila in Lalmonirhat district on Friday afternoon.

Abdul Kaiyum, 15, son of Abdul Qader, faced the tragic accident around 3pm at North Gopal Roy village under Kakina union of the upazila.

According to locals, Kaiyum fell under the Burimari-bound train from Lalmonirhat, when he tried to save a calf from the accident. He died on the spot after being crushed under the wheels.

Confirming the matter, Kaliganj Police Station officer-in-charge Imtiaz Kabir said they informed Lalmonirhat Government Railway Police about the incident and they will take the legal actions.
