Jhenaidah District Awami League (AL) relief and social welfare secretary Kazi Kamal Ahmed Babu aka Gas Babu admitted his involvement and gave a statement in the case of kidnapping to kill deceased MP Anwarul Azim Anar.

Accused Babu voluntarily agreed to give a confessional statement on Friday (June 14). Later, investigating officer Assistant Commissioner of Detective Brach (DB) Mahfuzur Rahman requested to record it.

Following the petition, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim’s court recorded his statement. After that, the court ordered to send him to jail.

Earlier in this case, Shimul Bhuiyan alias Shihab alias Amanullah Sayeed, Tanveer Bhuiyan and Shilasti Rahman gave a confessional statement in the court. They are currently in jail.
