The official website and accounts for the A Couple of Cuckoos anime today announced that Season 2 will begin airing in July 2025. A teaser trailer and visual were also unveiled, along with a new character and updated production staff details.
As previewed below, Hina Yomiya (Anna in The Dangers in My Heart) stars as Ai Mochizuki, a popular online singer and the childhood friend of Nagi Umino, and 22/7 performs “Anata de Nakucha” for the series’ ending song.
Based on the manga by Miki Yoshikawa, the first season of A Couple of Cuckoos was chief-directed by Hiroaki Akagi and directed by Yoshiyuki Shirahata at studios Shin-Ei Animation and SynergySP, with series composition by Yasuhiro Nakanishi, character designs by Aya Takano and music by Rei Ishizuka.
Masakazu Hishida (Viral Hit) takes over as director and series composer (under the name Jou Aoba) at studio Okuruto Noboru for Season 2, with new character designs by Kyoko Kon. Additional staff members include:

Crunchyroll streamed all 24 episodes of the first season as they aired in Japan from April to October 2022, and describes the story:
