Actor Abdul Quader has fallen asleep in his mother’s grave at Banani Cemetery in the capital. His burial ended at 5:30 pm on Saturday (December 26) after Maghrib prayers. Earlier, his second janaza was held at Banani Cemetery Mosque.Abdul Quader wanted to be buried in his mother’s grave. He has been buried accordingly.
His body was laid to rest at the National Theater of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the afternoon before being taken to Banani Cemetery. People from all walks of life paid homage to his coffin. His long time colleagues and well-wishers took part in it.
Abdul Quader breathed his last on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital . Abdul Quader, a well-known actor of the country, was suffering from cancer of the pancreas. He was taken to a hospital in Chennai, India as his condition was critical. After that he was brought back to the country when he recovered.
Abdul Quader was born in Sonarang village of Tongibari police station in Munshiganj. His father was the late Abdul Jalil. Mother is late Anwara Khatun. He is married to wife Khairunnesa Kader and is the father of one son and one daughter.
He became very popular by playing the role of ‘Bodi’ in the serial drama ‘Kothao Keu Nei’ written by Abdul Quader Humayun Ahmed. He was also acclaimed for his role as Dulabhai in Humayun Ahmed’s play ‘Nakshatra’s Night’.
