Senior actor Hasan Masood has been hospitalised. He was admitted to a private hospital in the capital’s Mohakhali area on Monday night.

According to hospital sources, he came to the hospital last night with a severe headache and seizures. After the necessary tests, the doctor said that he needs to be admitted.

“Hasan Masood is now admitted to the stroke unit of Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali,” the hospital’s managing director, Dr Ashish Kumar Chakraborty, told the media.

“The actor has suffered an ischemic stroke. He also had a mild heart attack. He is currently under the care of a neurologist, cardiologist and critical care unit doctor.

Such patients are usually observed for 48 to 72 hours. After that, we can say what the next treatment will be,” Dr Ashish Kumar added.

Hasan Masood’s acting career started soon after with Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s film “Bachelor”, followed by “Made in Bangladesh”. He then became a familiar face on television.

Some of his most notable dramas include “House Full”, “Taxi Driver”, “FDC”, “Bou”, “Khunsuti”, “Graduate”, “Ronger Duniya”, “Amader Sangsar”, “Gani Saheber Shesh Kichu Din”, “Batasher Ghar”, and “Prabhati Sabuj Sangho.”
