Popy, her husband, and others allegedly tried land grabbing

A general diary has been filed against actor Sadika Parvin Popy by her sister over allegations of attempting to seize land.

Firoza Parvin filed the GD at Sonadanga police station in Khulna on Monday, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam confirmed.

According to the GD, Popy, along with her husband Adnan Uddin Kamal, Kallol Majumdar, and Shipon, went to a rented house in the Shibbari area at around 12:30pm on Monday in an attempt to seize ancestral land. When obstructed, Popy and her husband allegedly threatened Firoza Parvin.

Locals reported that Popy and her husband are currently staying in Khulna.

Popy made her Dhallywood debut in 1997 with the film “Kuli,” directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar.

She has also won the National Film Award three times.
