Security has been beefed up around the central office of the Jatiya Party (JaPa) at Bijoynagar area in the capital.

Strict security measures have been implemented, and party leaders, activists, and others are not allowed to gather at the spot.

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned all forms of public gathering at Kakrail and adjoining areas in the capital.

Meanwhile, JaPa on Friday postponed its rally and protest procession scheduled for Saturday.
