Bangladesh Railway has started preparation for Eid-ul-Azha. It has been proposed to start advance train ticket sales from June 2 ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

The proposal was announced at the inter-ministerial meeting held at the Railway Building with Railways Minister Zillul Hakim in the chair on Thursday (May 23). In the meeting, various decisions have been taken to make the management of the Eid trip hassle-free.

According to sources in the meeting, Railways will sell train seats in advance as usual this time around Eid. To facilitate the travel of homebound passengers, it has been proposed to start the advance sale of intercity train seats 10 days before the Eid trip from June 2. If all goes well, the advance sale of train seats may start from June 2.

A press conference is likely to be held on Monday (May 27) regarding the overall preparations for Eid train travel and the advance sale of train tickets. The railway minister will give details there.

This time also all train seats will be sold online in advance on Eid-ul-Azha. Tickets for all western region inter-city trains will be sold from 8 am and eastern region train will be sold from 2 pm.
