Acclaimed actor Mosharraf Karim has paired with director Sagar Jahan and actress Aisha Khan for two upcoming Eid television dramas.

Karim arrived in Dhaka on February 11 after spending 10 days in Saudi Arabia with his wife, Robena Reza Jui, for performing Umrah. Within days of his return, the popular actor resumed work, beginning shooting on February 15 for two projects titled ‘Soda Shotto Bolibo’ and ‘Adu Bhai’. In both productions, he stars opposite Aisha Khan.

Speaking about working with Sagar Jahan again after a considerable gap, Karim described the experience as nostalgic. He said he was enjoying being back on set with the director and felt encouraged by the positive atmosphere during filming. According to the actor, the collaboration has brought back fond memories of their earlier projects together.

Soda Shotto Bolibo, written by Ashraful Chanchal, is set to air as part of NTV’s Eid special programming. The drama centres on the simple and sincere love story of an honest man. Karim described it as an “open-hearted” romance and praised Aisha Khan’s performance, adding that he hopes audiences will rediscover the familiar charm that characterised his previous collaborations with Sagar Jahan.

Meanwhile, filming for Adu Bhai is also under way. Directed by Sagar Jahan and written by Arko Mostafa, the drama promises a humorous storyline. It is scheduled to be broadcast on a private television channel during Eid. Once again, Aisha Khan plays the female lead opposite Karim.

Over the years, Mosharraf Karim has earned widespread acclaim for his performances in several Sagar Jahan-directed works. Their successful collaborations include popular series such as ‘Sikandar Box’, ‘Average Aslam’, ‘Mahin’, ‘Tal Mischiri Na Hawai Mithai’, ‘Fatman’ and ‘Kobul Bolilo Ke’. He has also appeared in standalone dramas including ‘Ekti Adorsho Biddaloy’, ‘Mon Dorja’ and ‘Sheshta Amar Chhilo’.
