Eight members of Bangladesh High Performance Unit white-ball squad left Dhaka on Saturday for Australia to take part in the upcoming series comprising 50-over format games along T20 games.
The eight cricketers are: Afif Hossain, Akbar Ali, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Jishan Alam, Shamim Hossain Patowary, Mahfuzur Rahman Rabbi, Abu Haider Rony and Wasi Siddique.
The 50-over tri-series, involving the two other teams –Pakistan Shaheens and Northern Territory, is scheduled to start from 1 August and conclude on 6 August.
HP will end their tour with the T20 tournament, scheduled from 9 August till 18 August, that will feature Pakistan Shaheens and different franchises of Big Bash.
Meanwhile, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shadman Islam, Aich Mollah, Amite Hasan, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Hasan Murad, Sahadat Hossain Dipu and Rezaur Rahman Raja are returning home on Tuesday as they are not part of HP Unit’s white-ball series.
