Dhaka District Registrar Ahidul Islam, who is now in jail in an ACC case, has been sacked from his job.
Law Ministry confirmed this in a notification on Sunday.
The Anti Corruption Commission’s (ACC) integrated district office Dhaka-1 filed the case on September 21, last year, against Ahidul Islam for amassing wealth illegally and concealing wealth information.
As the chargesheet of the case was accepted on April 30 and Ahidul Islam was sent to jail on the same day, he was sacked from the job as per sub-section 2 of section 39 of the Public Service Act, 2018 from that date, the notification said.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad Ash Sams Joglul Hossain sent him jail in the case on April 30.
