Anisa Arifa, the HSC candidate from Dhaka Education Board Laboratory School and College who was unable to enter the exam hall on the first day due to arriving late because of her mother’s illness, has finally sat for her exam on Sunday (June 29).
According to sources at the exam center, she took part in the Bangla Second Paper exam, which began at 10:00 am at the Government Bangla College center in Mirpur.
Md. Hafizur Rahman, acting member secretary of the exam center, said that the student arrived after 9:00 am.
Professor Kamrul Hasan of Bangla College said that Anisa arrived before 9:30 am to take the exam, and there were no issues this time.
Earlier, on June 26, Anisa missed her Bangla First Paper exam on the first day of the HSC examination. Her test center was Government Bangla College in Mirpur. Due to her mother’s illness, she arrived at the center an hour and a half late and was not allowed to enter the exam hall.
A video of her crying outside the exam center went viral on social media, prompting widespread public sympathy and calls for her to be allowed to take the exams.
Following this, the Ministry of Education announced it would take a humanitarian decision regarding her case.
