Marvel Studios’ next big release – Captain America: Brave New World – is their first movie to hit theatres in 2025. Anthony Mackie takes on the role of Sam Wilson aka Captain America in the film, and it’s his recent comment that has left Shah Rukh Khan fans both excited and thrilled.
In a recent interview with influencer Kevin Zingkhai, Anthony Mackie was asked which Bollywood star he would like to recruit as the new Avenger. He quickly replied Shah Rukh Khan.
The actor said, “I think Shah Rukh Khan, he’s the damn best!” The statement soon led to all the Shah Rukh Khan fans cheering and imagining Shah Rukh Khan as the next Avenger. But will King Khan take up Hollywood projects?
In an interview with Variety back in 2024, Shah Rukh Khan had revealed why he hasn’t taken up any Hollywood project in so many years. He said that he has not received an offer or role that would do justice to his superstar status in India. He said, “I think it’s the world’s greatest and biggest cinema in terms of reach and how people watch it. I don’t think I’m in a position to choose and put conditions, but yes, when an opportunity arises — I hope I can speak English well enough. And, I don’t want to sound uppity, but it should be a role worthy of the status the Indian audience has given me. It should not let down.”
Shah Rukh Khan also shared that he has no agent and has not gone looking for movies in Hollywood.
Khan will be next seen in Sujoy Ghosh-directed ‘King’. The upcoming film also stars SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan. He will also reportedly make a cameo in his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut project ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’.
Talking about ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, Anthony’s Sam Wilson will be facing off against Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk. The upcoming film also stars Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lubly, Tim Blake Nelson, and Liv Tyler.
