Farhan Ahmed Jovan-starrer Eid special drama “Ashiqui” has created a storm since its release during the Eid festival. It has already reached number two on YouTube’s trending list! The hit song “Lichur Bagane” from the movie “Tandab” is just ahead of “Ashiqui” on this list!

Directed by Emrose Shaon, the play is scripted by Khair Khandaker.

The drama, produced under the banner of CMV, has crossed 6 million views on YouTube within two days of its release on Sunday. More than 9 thousand comments have been added to the comment section of the drama.

It is worth mentioning that, before the drama’s release, a clip of a song starring Jovan went viral. In this drama, Jovan is seen in the role of Ashiq, a young boy from a middle-class family. He comes to the city to fulfill his father’s dream and gets admitted to a college. He sings well and dreams of becoming a great singer.

A rich kid Jess, a student of the same college, who’s influenced in the college a lot. Naznin Niha played the role of Jess.

But “Ashiqui” is not a love story of Aashiq and Jess. Rather, this story has all sorts of complex twists and turns. There is a wonderful combination of joy and sadness. The play also features two wonderful songs. As a special surprise, popular singer Dilshad Nahar Kona is also seen in the scene of this drama! Which, many people also consider to be extra credit for the audience.

Regarding “Ashiqui”, director Emrose Shaon said that many things had been reflected through the drama. As well as the story of a singer’s struggle and victory, there is also a wonderful love story.
