Actor and social media influencer Avneet Kaur recently found herself at the centre of a viral moment after cricketer Virat Kohli liked one of her Instagram posts. The interaction immediately triggered a wave of online chatter, with fans speculating and debating the cricketer’s social media activity. Reacting to the controversy, Avneet made it clear that such distractions don’t sway her focus.

She said she doesn’t like deviating from her goal. When asked how she processes the kind of attention that comes her way in a controversy involving Virat Kohli, she explained, “I just keep working hard, that’s what I am focused on, honestly. I just try to better myself in every aspect, not just acting. I try to focus on other things more, and I obviously never forget my dream or that I have to make my parents proud.”

She added, “These are some of the things that I try not to get distracted by, because if I keep focusing on these things, I will not be able to grow, and that’s not what I am looking for.”

The young actor, who boasts a massive following on social media, emphasised that she prefers to channel her energy into self-improvement and career goals rather than get caught up in fleeting online discussions.

When asked about her support in such critical situations, Kaur immediately mentioned her mother. She shared, “She is like my best friend. I share everything with her. She is my motivation; she is my everything. I tell her everything – things which I wouldn’t tell anyone else. I tell her those things. Most of the time, you don’t know whether that person is right or not, and most of them judge, but my mother never judges. She is like my human diary.”

Avneet will next be seen in ‘Love in Vietnam’ opposite Shantanu Maheshwari. The film is set to release in theatres on September 12.
