Bangladesh RMG sector adds 2 new LEED-certified factories

Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry continues its unwavering pursuit of sustainable growth. Two new factories—TM Jeans Limited and Azmeri Composite Knit Ltd—have joined the league of LEED-certified facilities, reinforcing the sector’s dedication to eco-friendly manufacturing.

With the inclusion of these two factories, Bangladesh now boasts a total of 235 LEED-certified facilities, comprising 94 Platinum and 127 Gold certifications. This growth underscores the RMG sector’s proactive commitment to sustainability and responsible production practices.

TM Jeans Limited (Platinum) and Azmeri Composite Knit Ltd (Gold) have both received the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, recognising their efforts in sustainable manufacturing practices.

These certifications signify the industry’s alignment with global sustainability benchmarks, positioning Bangladesh as a leader in ethical and sustainable production. Industry stakeholders remain optimistic about achieving more milestones, further solidifying the country’s reputation in the global RMG market.
