The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially unveiled the full schedule for the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, set to be held across India and Sri Lanka from 30 September to 2 November 2025.

The eight-team tournament will kick off with hosts India taking on Sri Lanka in the opening match at Bengaluru on 30 September, marking the beginning of the 13th edition of the prestigious 50-over women’s global event.

The competition will feature eight teams playing in a single round-robin format, where each side faces all others once. The top four teams from the league stage will advance to the semi-finals.

Bangladesh will face Pakistan in their first match in Colombo on 2 October. Following their opening clash, the Tigresses will take on England in Guwahati on 7 October. They will then travel to Vizag for a trio of crucial encounters — against New Zealand on 10 October, South Africa on 13 October, and defending champions Australia on 16 October.

The team will return to Colombo to take on hosts Sri Lanka on 20 October, before wrapping up their round-robin campaign with a high-voltage match against hosts India in Bengaluru on 26 October.

Matches will be played in five cities: Bengaluru, Vizag, Indore, Guwahati (India), and Colombo (Sri Lanka). The first semi-final will be hosted in in either Colombo or Guwahati on 29 October, while the other is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru. The Final will be played on 2 November, either in Bengaluru or Colombo.

The tournament features the top six teams from the ICC Women’s Championship standings — Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and hosts India — all of whom qualified directly. The final two spots were secured by Pakistan and Bangladesh, who finished in the top two of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier held in April.
