The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) today (14 November) directed banks to freeze all accounts of NRBC Bank Chairman Parvez Tamal and two other officials.
The other officials are Mohammed Adnan Imam, former chairman of the executive committee at NRBC Bank and Md Jafar Iqbal Howlader, vice president of the bank’s Financial Administration Division.
In a letter, the BFIU instructed all scheduled banks to freeze any accounts held in the names of these individuals for the next 30 days.
Additionally, banks have been ordered to submit detailed transaction statements for these accounts within the next five days.
