Sports Desk:

A Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Friday that they are yet to take any final decision regarding playing a white-ball series against Afghanistan in July.

The BCB earlier announced that their all-format away series against Afghanistan in July has been rescheduled.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board was expected to host Bangladesh for two Tests along with three ODIs and three T20Is following the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup.

Later, the ACB prepared a new itinerary and according to that draft itinerary, the series consisting of three ODIs and as many T20Is is scheduled to be played in Greater Noida between 25 July and 6 August.

“Basically this was in discussion (playing three ODIs and three T20I against Afghanistan in Noida in July) but we are yet to take any final decision,” said BCB’s Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury.

“The series was earlier pencilled in FTP but we are yet to finalize anything in this regard (as far as playing them in July is concerned),” he added.

According to the draft schedule, Bangladesh are expected to arrive in Noida on 22 July to play the three ODIs, scheduled respectively on 25, 27 and 30 July. Following the ODIs, the three T20Is are slated respectively on August 2, 4 and 6.
