The Bangladeshi passport has climbed three positions in the latest Henley Passport Index, now ranking 94th out of 199 countries.
Bangladeshi passport holders can now travel to 39 destinations without a visa. The ranking is based on the number of visa-free destinations available to a country’s citizens.
Singapore tops the index, with its citizens enjoying visa-free access to 193 destinations. Japan and South Korea share second place, each offering access to 190 destinations.
In third place are Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain, with visa-free entry to 189 destinations.
Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden are tied in fourth, offering access to 188 countries.
Greece, New Zealand, and Switzerland share fifth place, with visa-free access to 187 destinations.
The United Kingdom ranks sixth, allowing entry to 186 countries without a visa.
In seventh place are Australia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, and Poland, with access to 185 destinations.
Canada, Estonia, and the United Arab Emirates share eighth position, with 184 visa-free destinations.
Croatia, Latvia, Slovakia, and Slovenia are ranked ninth, with access to 183 countries.
Iceland, Lithuania, and the United States round out the top ten, with visa-free access to 182 destinations.
The Henley Passport Index is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and considers 199 passports and 227 travel destinations worldwide.
