Sports Desk:
Bangladesh Football Federation will soon get a kit sponsor and a football partner, claimed vice-president Fahad Karim.
While speaking to reporters at the BFF House on Saturday, the marketing committee chief said that hey are also working on securing new sponsors for the women’s team while interest in the men’s team has increased since Hamza Choudhury decided to represent Bangladesh.
“We are in discussion with a local and a foreign company regarding kits. I believe the kit sponsor will be locked in by January and we will hopefully launch the kit in February because there will be international matches for both men and women in March.
“We are in parallel discussion with an Indian and a Japanese company for football partnership, which will be locked in by this week and will be launched by February,” Karim said, adding that BFF will get a certain amount of footballs as part of this partnership.
The BFF vice-president also informed that they are working to close in on a sponsorship deal with a new company alongside existing sponsor, Dhaka Bank, for the women’s team.
“Of course sponsors show more interest in the women’s team. However, it must be said that we have noticed proactive interest from sponsors regarding the men’s team since the announcement of Hamza Choudhury,” Karim added.
