58 battalion of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) seized an Indian pistol along with five rounds of ammunitions from Moheshpur in Jhenaidah at the early hours of Tuesday.
But, no one was arrested in this connection during the drive, said a BGB
Press Release issued by BGB 58 battalion’s assistant director Saiful Islam on Tuesday morning.
Acting on a tip off that, the BGB personnel came to know that, two Indian cititzens were trying to enter into the Bangladesh territory through Jibannagarpara of bordering Moheshpur. The BGB personnel led by Nayek Abdus Satter challenged the duo, but they managed to flee towards India leaving a bag. Later the BGB personnel found an Indian pistol and five rounds of ammunitions hidden in the bag. The seized goods were handed over to the respective police station in this connection.
