UNB, Dhaka:

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has intensified security measures across the country, particularly in key areas of Dhaka, to maintain law and order.

Shariful Islam, public relations officer (PRO) of BGB, confirmed the heightened security.

The increased security presence comes in response to new demonstrations by students in various parts of the country on Monday.

In Mirpur-10, police obstructed protesters attempting to bring out a procession around 12:30pm.

Members of BGB, police, and the army have been deployed at various strategic points to ensure public safety.
