A Bir Freedom Fighter was killed and another injured in a road accident on the Bhuiyaganti-Tarash regional road near Nimgachhi College in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district on Tuesday evening.
Police said, the road accident took place at 6:00 pp, when freedom fighter Abdur Rashid and his son were going towards Bhuiyagati market with a motorcycle. A soil laden truck hit them from behind, killing the freedom fighter Abdur Rashid on the spot.
Eyewitnesses said that, Abdur Rashid, who died in the road accident, was a resident of Radhanagar village under Salongga police station.
