The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has expelled Bakhtiar Ahmed Kachi, the general secretary of the Dinajpur district unit of BNP, from his position due to his alleged involvement in various misdeeds.

The information was provided through a press release signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, on Thursday night.

In the meantime, from now on, Murad Ahmed, the first joint secretary of the district BNP unit, will serve as the acting general secretary of the party, the released mentioned.

Earlier, on 14, 2022,  Kachi was elected as the general secretary of the party.
