BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has said that if his party returns to power, the education sector will receive the highest allocation in the national budget.
“An effective education system is essential for ensuring the security of the state. Every individual has hidden talents that must be nurtured and developed,” he said while virtually addressing a prize-giving ceremony for a scholarship competition among school and madrasa students on the BNP’s 31-point reform proposal.
The event was organised by Khandaker Shamsul Alam Foundation in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Saturday.
Tarique Rahman said the BNP is committed to building a modern, knowledge-based, and technology-driven education system to make the nation skilled and future-ready.
“There is no alternative to equipping oneself with modern science and innovative technology to strengthen the country’s foundation,” he added.
He further said the BNP has formed a team of experts to modernise the existing education structure in line with its 31-point state repair proposal. “The team has already made significant progress in developing a time-befitting education system,” he noted.
