A dead body of a 50-year old man was found hanging from a tree at the Central Shaheed Minar area in the University of Dhaka on Wednesday morning.

Fire service later brought down the unidentified body and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, said Shahbagh Police Station Sub-Inspector Seikh Hadiuzzaman.

Locals have opined the body could be that of a homeless as his clothes were found scattered nearby. The old man’s body was wearing a blue trouser, white coat and green t-shirt, witnesses said.
